Design Guidelines for submitting your own design. |
| 1. Camera Ready Artwork | Must be color seperated (Black on white background) Please do not use any half-tone screens. Please leave those areas blank and we will set them here. |
| 2. Adobe Illustrator |
This is the preferred file type. The job must be created entirely in Adobe Illustrator using vector objects that are assigned spot colors. Convert all fonts to Outlines. Any raster images (.jpg, .tif, .bmp etc.) that are embedded in the file must be sent separately and cannot be more than 1-color. |
3. Macromedia Freehand |
This software has been discontiuned but we can still currently use these files. The job must be created entirely in Macromedia Freehand using spot colors. Convert all fonts to Paths. Any raster images (.jpg, .tif, .bmp etc.) that are embedded in the file must be sent separately and cannot be more than 1-color. |
4. CorelDraw |
The job must be created entirely in CorelDraw using pantone spot colors. Convert all fonts to Curves. Any raster images (.jpg, .tif, .bmp etc.) that are embedded in the file must be sent separately and cannot be more than 1-color. |
5. Photoshop Files. |
Photoshop files must be as close to size as possible and a minimum dpi of 200.(300 preferred) The image must be spot color separated using channels. Some files we can spot color separate using our software, but not all files. The finished image may change after we separate it. |
6. EPS files. |
We prefer files in the native format of the program they were made in. Converting files to the eps format can give you unexpected results, and some files cannot be opened if the are not converted properly. Roughly 10 percent of eps files we receive are unusable. |
7. Other Types of files. |
Other files may or may not work. Email the file to sales@shirtshackomaha.com. (Please do not email files larger than 2 megabyte.) and we will get back to you if they will work or not. Keep in mind that most word programs will substitute fonts on our end and we have no idea what the original font you used was. |
No matter what type of file you submit, we always have you approve the final design before printing.
